Overview
These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity ("user" or "you") and Relet Limited ("Relet", "we", "us", or "our"), concerning your access to and use of any of our mobile applications, our website (relet.app), and our API (collectively, the "Platform").
The Platform provides property management automation, including visitor management, billing and collections, and smart utility vending for communities.
1. Consent
By clicking "Accept" or by accessing and using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must immediately discontinue use of the Platform.
Our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and disclose your personal information, is incorporated by reference into these Terms.
2. Platform Services
Relet provides a suite of community management tools, including but not limited to utility vending, visitor management, community marketplace, and amenities management. Technical payment services and wallet functionality are provided via regulated third-party financial institutions and payment processors.
3. Eligibility
To use our services, you must be at least 18 years of age, possess the legal authority to enter into a binding agreement, and pass our mandatory identity verification (KYC) requirements. You must comply with all applicable anti-money laundering and anti-corruption laws.
4. Account Registration
You are required to register an account using a valid mobile number and secure credentials. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your sign-in details and for all activities that occur under your account.
5. Relet Profile
Your profile must contain accurate and current information, including your full name, contact details, and where applicable, company information. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
6. Identity Verification
You authorize Relet to make any inquiries we consider necessary to validate your identity. This may include requesting additional information or documentation, and performing checks through third-party databases or public reports.
7. Third-Party Merchants
The Platform may host a marketplace where third-party merchants offer goods or services. Relet acts solely as an intermediary and is not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of items provided by independent merchants.
8. Payments, Payment Terms, and Taxes
All financial transactions are processed by licensed third-party Payment Processors. You are responsible for all fees associated with your transactions and for any taxes required by law.
9. Refund Policy
We offer a 14-day refund policy. If you are not satisfied with our services, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your initial purchase. Refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 5-10 business days.
10. User Warranties
You warrant that all information provided to us is accurate, complete, and that you have the full legal capacity to use the Platform. You represent that your use of the Platform does not violate any applicable law or regulation.
11. Grant of License
Relet owns all intellectual property rights in the Platform. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Platform for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.
12. Acceptable Use Restrictions
You agree not to use the Platform for any unlawful purpose. Prohibited activities include hacking, transmitting malware, phishing, engaging in fraudulent transactions, or attempting to reverse engineer the Platform software.
13. Your Obligations
You are responsible for ensuring that your device meets the technical requirements for the Platform, for all data charges incurred, and for the overall security of your account and mobile device.
14. Service Modifications
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Platform at any time without prior notice. Relet shall not be liable to you or any third party for any such modification or suspension.
15. Professional Service
Specific "Support Services" or professional management services purchased via Order Forms are subject to additional terms agreed upon at the time of purchase.
16. Closing, Restriction & Cancellation of Profile
Relet may restrict, suspend, or terminate your account at our sole discretion if we suspect fraudulent activity, breach of these Terms, or to comply with regulatory requirements.
17. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall Relet be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you to us in the six months preceding the claim.
18. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Relet harmless from any claims, losses, or damages arising out of your breach of these Terms, misuse of the Platform, or violation of any third-party rights.
19. Entire Agreement
These Terms, along with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Relet regarding the Platform and supersede all previous communications or agreements.
20. Force Majeure
Relet shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, acts of government, telecommunications failures, or widespread internet outages.
21. Assignment
You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. Relet may assign its rights and obligations without restriction.
22. Severance
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
23. Service Communications
We may send you service-related notifications via email, SMS, or through the Platform. You agree to receive these communications as part of your use of the Platform.
24. Grievance Policy
If you have any complaints or grievances regarding the Platform, please contact our support team via the live chat functionality or by emailing help@relet.app.
25. Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Policy
Relet is committed to complying with all applicable Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing laws in Tanzania. We maintain robust procedures to prevent the Platform from being used for illicit activities.
26. Modifications to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time at our sole discretion. We will notify you of any significant updates, and your continued use of the Platform after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
27. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the **United Republic of Tanzania**. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Tanzania.
